Ricas Collective is now Good Luck Studio

Starting today, Ricas Collective operates under a new name: Good Luck Studio.

The company, the team and the work stay the same. What changes is the name on the door, and what that name says about who we’ve become.

Why we changed our name

We started Ricas Collective in September 2024, and at the time, “collective” described us accurately. We were freelancers combining our skills because we thought it was fun to collaborate, and because together we could deliver stronger work than we could on our own.

Over the past two years, we’ve outgrown that definition. We’re a business with a clear work philosophy. We found the clients we’re meant for, and learned that we’re meant for them too. We have a voice, a style, a set of beliefs, a way of running things, and we know what makes us different. We now work as a studio, and we wanted a name that reflected that.

The original name also carried a local joke. In Uruguay, “ricas cosas” is a casual way of saying something is great. Swapping “cosas” for “collective” felt like a fun wink, but it rarely survived translation, and it needed explaining more often than it needed remembering. We wanted a name that works on first read, in any market we serve.

Choosing Good Luck was easy. We all saw the vision right away. The name feels fluid: it can mean different things and fit different occasions, and we wanted the same for our new brand. Something that feels like a living thing rather than a set of rules written in stone.

This change is the first of many as we head into the next chapter of our young studio. A lot is evolving, but our core stays the same.

What’s new

Messages sent to our previous addresses will continue to reach us during the transition.

To everyone who has trusted us and been part of the journey since the beginning: thank you. The name is new, but the commitment isn’t.
